Creak.

The heavy doors of the drawing room were pushed open from the outside, and a silhouette sauntered in.

"Mr. Zuo Feng, it seems you have found what you were looking for," the butler remarked politely, his gaze fixed on Zuo Feng Diren, who had suddenly appeared in the room.

"You guessed correctly, Mr. Butler."

A confident smile played on Zuo Feng Diren’s face. He poured himself a glass of vintage red wine and paced toward the eerie circular mirror, a glimmer of fanatical intensity burning deep in his eyes.

"If I am not mistaken, this mirror originates from the Victorian-era European courts. It is a treasure of inestimable value," the elite man declared, his eyes shining with fervor as he stood before the glass. "Old Man Shirakawa intentionally placed this priceless mirror here, treating it like a common piece of decor, just to deceive us. He wanted us to assume it was a mere counterfeit."

"In truth, this mirror is the most valuable treasure in the entire ancient manor."

Clap, clap, clap.

"A brilliant deduction. And what is your final decision, Mr. Zuo Feng?" The butler clapped his hands in a display of cooperation, his tone inquisitive.

"It is this Victorian antique mirror. I doubt there is a second object in this manor more valuable than it." Zuo Feng Diren was resolute. Having frequently attended antique auctions while studying in Great Britain, he possessed a sharp, discerning eye and had recognized the mirror's worth at a glance.

"In a certain sense, this mirror is indeed quite unique." The butler smiled, though there seemed to be a hidden meaning behind the expression.

Seated on the sofa, a female lawyer with long legs clad in black silk watched the confident, excited Zuo Feng Diren with a look of pity, as if observing someone mentally deficient.

At that moment, Zuo Feng Diren’s gaze passed through the mirror and landed on his own reflection. He froze.

Within the glass, his reflection wore a grim, eerie, and chilling smile.

Terrified by the horrific sight, Zuo Feng Diren broke into a cold sweat. The wine glass slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor with a loud crash.

The next instant, the ghastly figure inside the mirror squeezed its way out into reality. A perfect replica of Zuo Feng Diren stood before him, wearing a dark, mocking grin.

"Impossible! What are you?"

Zuo Feng Diren’s eyes widened in horror. His face was twisted with indescribable fear and shock; his mind was in total disarray.

The entity from the mirror gave him a cold, disdainful look and spoke in a sinister tone: "From now on, I am Zuo Feng Diren. Your life will be under my control."

"No, no!"

His blood-curdling scream was cut short as a flash of crimson filled his vision.

His neck snapped to the side, and his severed head tumbled onto the floor, rolling to the feet of the imposter.

Before his death, Zuo Feng Diren’s eyes remained wide open, filled with terror and despair.

From beginning to end, the butler and the woman in black silk maintained calm expressions, standing by like spectators as they watched the ghost from the mirror slaughter Zuo Feng Diren.

"Fool."

The entity that had emerged from the mirror sneered, licking the blood that had splattered onto its face.

Just then, the sound of shattering glass erupted.

A pale blue light, swift as a shooting star, shot in from the entrance. It pierced the imposter’s chest in an instant, pinning him against the ancient mirror behind him.

The ghost let out a bestial, frenzied roar as the demon-slaying arrow transfixed its chest. Its face, wreathed in black mist, contorted in agonizing pain.

"It’s you!"

The entity glared toward the drawing room entrance with malevolent hatred, gnashing its teeth at the sight of Su Cheng.

"It seems that besides myself, all the other heirs who came to the manor tonight have met their end, haven't they, Mr. Butler?" Su Cheng sheathed his demon-slaying bow, brandished his blade, *Shadow of the Gale*, and walked lightly into the room, looking at the butler with a cryptic smile.

The butler’s expression remained unchanged. "Yes, Young Master Cheng. The other heirs have abandoned the game, making you the sole winner."

As for whether they abandoned it willingly or were forced to, everyone present understood the truth.

"Scum! How dare you hurt me!" The imposter pinned to the mirror continued to curse incessantly.

While the imposter was still ranting, Su Cheng vanished from his spot and reappeared instantly before him, swinging his hand with full force to deliver a resounding slap across the creature's face.

The sheer power of the blow caused the imposter’s head to spin three hundred and sixty degrees. The creature was left dazed, its head ringing as if a hundred flies were buzzing inside.

"Wh-what are you doing?"

Only then did fear finally cross its face, and it began to cower.

"You were the one scaring people inside the mirror earlier, weren't you? What exactly are you?" Su Cheng’s eyes were cold, his demeanor suggesting he was ready to tear the creature limb from limb.

"I am the all-knowing, all-powerful Mirror Spirit!" the imposter puffed out his chest and roared.

A mirror spirit?

"Since you are an all-knowing, all-powerful mirror spirit, let me ask you one question."

The spirit had expected Su Cheng to ask about the secrets of the terrifying manor, but instead, the question was...

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most handsome man of them all?"

Hearing this, the Mirror Spirit nearly spat out a mouthful of blood.

Seeing the murderous chill in Su Cheng’s eyes, the spirit surrendered instantly, lying through its teeth: "It is you."

The moment the words left its mouth, several intersecting blade flashes surged forward.

The magic mirror was hacked into a pile of shards by Su Cheng, and the Mirror Spirit dissolved into a cloud of black smoke, dissipating into the air in terror.

Even as it was utterly annihilated, it could not comprehend why Su Cheng had killed it.

"Sorry, you knew too much."

Su Cheng sheathed his blade and looked at the old butler with an icy smile. "Just kidding. Now, can you take me to see the true master of this manor, Shirakawa Yasuo?"

The butler’s expression shifted, though he quickly masked his shock. "Certainly. The Master is in the cellar. I shall lead you there at once."

With that, the butler lit an old kerosene lamp and guided Su Cheng toward the cellar.

After they left, a glint passed through the eyes of the woman in black silk. Her body gradually shrank until she transformed into a black cat with piercing blue eyes.

"It’s been so many years. This is the first time a human has seen that creature's true form. I hope you don't disappoint me." The cat spoke in a human voice. An invisible force tore open the space before her, and with a single leap, she vanished into the rift.

In the pitch-black cellar, Su Cheng and the butler descended the stone steps. In the dim light, the butler’s face appeared particularly sinister.

As they descended deeper, the temperature plummeted. A bone-chilling cold seeped into their skin, and a terrifying aura began to spread. The hair on Su Cheng’s arms stood on end.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Su Cheng took a step forward, and suddenly, the space before him twisted and shifted, as if he had stepped into a distorted dimension.

When he regained his senses, the butler was gone, and a locked iron door stood in his path.

Feeling the icy aura emanating from behind the door, Su Cheng couldn't help but shiver.

Regaining his composure, he swung his blade without hesitation, shattering the lock and pushing open the heavy iron door.

Stepping into the secret chamber hidden deep within the cellar, Su Cheng saw a black coffin resting inside.

The moment he entered, the iron door slammed shut by a mysterious force.

Then, a sinister, terrifying cackle echoed from the coffin before him.
