Chapter Fifty-One: Can Anything Outspeed My Sword?
Gravity Domain, MAX!
Two hundred times gravity!
Boom!
Almost the instant Chu Yi transformed into Asura, palms pressed together, the ultimate "Gravity Domain" erupted from him, enveloping a kilometer in every direction. Within this immense range, gravity surged with crushing force. The sturdy buildings of Holy Land Mary Geoise collapsed one after another, and what startled Rob Lucci was that the "Gravity Domain" pressed down on the advancing Navy officers so heavily they could barely move an inch!
So this is the source of his confidence?
Lucci gazed at Chu Yi with a shock that was hard to conceal. He had already placed Chu Yi’s strength at an unimaginably high level, but every time he witnessed Chu Yi in action, he realized he had underestimated him yet again.
However, what Lucci could never have guessed was that at this moment, Chu Yi, casting the "Gravity Domain," was gambling everything—staking all his trump cards on this one, desperate move.
The awakening abilities Chu Yi had acquired from that special awakening mission were not something to be used lightly.
Techniques such as "Shinra Tensei," "Banshō Ten’in," and the "Gravity Domain" each required a tremendous amount of stamina to unleash. Even though, after his fifth awakening, Chu Yi’s stamina seemed as boundless and unfathomable as the sea, when he pushed these techniques to their limits, he could still feel his strength draining away at an alarming rate.
Normally, the limit of Chu Yi’s "Gravity Domain" was a hundredfold gravity. If he wanted to push beyond that, every increase would exponentially drain more of his energy.
So now, using "Gravity Domain MAX" at two hundred times gravity, Chu Yi could only maintain it for a few minutes at most!
Chu Yi was gambling.
Or perhaps it should be said…
He was betting it all on reducing the Navy’s fighting strength.
There were simply too many Navy officers stationed within Mary Geoise. Each one possessed at least the power of a high-ranking officer. While Chu Yi could easily defeat any of them one-on-one, with such overwhelming numbers, even he could be exhausted to death.
Since that was the case, it was time to clear the field!
Maintaining "Gravity Domain MAX," sweat streamed down Chu Yi’s forehead. Within his line of sight, Navy officers, unable to withstand the crushing two hundredfold gravity, were forced to their knees, struggling to hold on. Chu Yi forced a smile, thinking that if he could just sustain "Gravity Domain MAX" a little longer, his burdens would be greatly eased for what came next.
But...
Could Chu Yi’s plan truly go so smoothly?
Was there really not a single person among the Navy who could break through his "Gravity Domain MAX"?
Of course not!
Otherwise, how could this gamble to reduce the Navy’s numerical advantage be called a desperate wager?
At that moment,
Just as Chu Yi’s "Gravity Domain MAX" had subdued the majority of the Navy’s fighting force and rendered the officers surrounding the "Sixth District" nearly immobile, an oppressive aura began to rise, making even Chu Yi feel the pressure.
That aura was unmistakable—
Armament Haki!
What’s going on? Those few high-ranking Navy officers… are they—are they combining their Armament Haki?
What are they planning?!
Chu Yi’s pupils narrowed. As someone deeply familiar with the pirate world, he never imagined the Navy would use Armament Haki in this way.
Those were several high-ranking Navy officers, all masters of Armament Haki. While most officers were suppressed by "Gravity Domain MAX," these few quickly unleashed their Haki, merging their power at a single point. In an instant, that concentrated Haki detonated, unleashing a massive explosion that blasted toward Chu Yi’s position!
Boom!
A terrifying shockwave scattered in all directions. Chu Yi’s pressed palms trembled, and his eyes filled with disbelief. He had not expected those few officers to use a secret, stamina-draining technique—gathering their Armament Haki for a combined explosion, forcibly shattering his "Gravity Domain MAX."
Yet, what Chu Yi could be thankful for was that these officers, having overdrawn their strength, temporarily lost the ability to fight.
As for the remaining Navy officers—
Though freed from the crushing force of "Gravity Domain MAX" and able to fight once more, the sudden onslaught and overwhelming two hundredfold gravity had left them all with varying degrees of internal injury.
Thus, Chu Yi’s gamble to weaken the Navy was not in vain; the stamina he had spent was a worthwhile investment.
But as the dense ranks of Navy surged in once again, Chu Yi’s expression grew grave.
Lucci, on the other hand, watched as the Navy broke through Chu Yi’s attack and allowed himself a faint, satisfied smile. Especially when he recognized the first Navy Rear Admiral rushing forward—it was the very instructor who had once taught him the Six Powers of the Navy. Lucci’s smile grew all the more pronounced.
"Asura, you’re going to die."
"Why?"
Chu Yi, hearing Lucci’s calm words, reversed his grip on the Blade of Asura and asked quietly.
"Because in your current state, there’s no way you can dodge Rear Admiral Hawk’s attack."
A broad smile broke over Lucci’s face, his eyes filled with release as he continued, "Rear Admiral Hawk was my instructor. I know exactly what he excels at. Of the Six Powers, when it comes to ‘Paper Art,’ ‘Finger Gun,’ ‘Moonwalk,’ ‘Tempest Kick,’ and ‘Iron Body,’ I may have surpassed him. But his mastery of ‘Shave’ is unrivaled among all Rear Admirals!"
"His ‘Shave’ is so fast—"
"It’s simply unimaginable!"
As Lucci’s words echoed in Chu Yi’s ears, a gust of wind swept by. The Rear Admiral Hawk, whom Lucci praised so highly, flashed to Chu Yi’s left side in an instant, using the Navy’s signature "Shave" technique.
Lucci was not one to boast idly.
He said Hawk’s "Shave" was unimaginably fast, and it truly was—so fast that even Lucci himself, observing the scene, could not discern from what angle Hawk would strike next. That was Hawk’s terrifying strength.
Just as Rear Admiral Hawk closed in, lifting his leg to unleash a "Tempest Kick"—
Slash!
The Blade of Asura descended, and a burst of crimson blood sprayed through the air.
The Rear Admiral Hawk, who had been undetectable even to Lucci’s eyes, now stood frozen before Chu Yi, eyes vacant as though bewitched.
As for Chu Yi—
Gripping the Blade of Asura, he looked at Lucci with a calm indifference, smiling as he asked,
"Lucci, you say he was fast. But tell me—"
"Could he ever be faster than my sword?"
