A Few Words Before the Official Release

Today marks the official launch, and to be honest, I’m a bit overwhelmed. For a rookie like me, having my work released is both nerve-wracking and exhilarating—after all, this is the very first book of my life!

I began writing this novel with the same mindset as many of you, thinking, “If others can do it, so can I.” But once I actually started, I realized just how difficult it was! As a beginner, I had to plot out the storyline, draft an outline, lay down foreshadowing, and even research various details—so many tasks, all seemingly endless and exhausting.

To be truthful, when I first started, I was prepared to write a hundred thousand words on my own before applying for a contract. Unexpectedly, Editor Qinghu reached out and gave me a chance. Gradually, readers began to appear, comments started rolling in, and it was no longer a solitary endeavor. That gave me a tremendous boost of motivation.

There are many shortcomings in my first attempt at writing a book, and I hope you’ll be forgiving. Some points that have been criticized—I’ll see if I can address them later on.

Now that the book is launching, I’ll be even more dedicated to my writing, striving to live up to your expectations. And since this is my first book, rest assured—I will not abandon it unfinished. You can be confident about that.

Also, I want to ask for your support with the first subscriptions upon launch! Everyone says that initial subscriptions are crucial. In addition, there will be extra chapters today!

Lately, there’s been criticism about my focus on Liu Yan—I’ve noticed it myself, and perhaps I’ve overdone it. I wrote about her mainly because she went through online harassment during that period, which was tough. In reality, we can’t change things, but in the story, I wanted to make a difference. If you don’t like it, feel free to skip those sections.

Let me clarify: this is not a single female lead story. Those who enjoy happy marriages and blissful family lives are generally left out of the narrative—for example, Tang Tang. Some have asked why she wasn’t chosen in “Heart Blossoms on the Road,” and this is the reason.

According to my completed outline, this book will likely surpass two million words—the pressure is immense! But don’t worry, I won’t abandon it, I won’t abandon it, I won’t abandon it.
