As Lin Hao spoke, the laughter from the few people behind suddenly ceased. They looked at the person in front with fleeting anxiousness in their eyes.

“Senior Brother…”

The man’s expression abruptly changed. He glared at Lin Hao viciously and said, “Are you threatening me?”

His words were essentially an admission that he had lied. Lin Hao’s eyes gleamed with understanding. Then, with a mocking tone, he looked at the group and spoke innocently, “How could that be, Senior Brothers? Didn’t you say none of you received instructions from the Eldest Senior Brother? Then I’ll just go back and ask him myself. Don’t worry. If it turns out the Eldest Senior Brother simply forgot, I will personally apologize to all of you. I definitely won’t disturb your rules.”

Having said that, Lin Hao turned to leave.

The few people from the Enforcement Hall saw that Lin Hao was serious this time. The leader’s expression grew dark.

His eyes burned with anger.

His face was almost green with fury.

The others behind him looked somewhat flustered. One called out, “Senior Brother, should we really let him go?”

At this point, it was clear they were making things difficult for Lin Hao. Although the Enforcement Hall was not afraid of Cao Yi, this matter was clearly their fault. If it reached Cao Yi or the elders, they wouldn’t be able to explain themselves.

Moreover, they had their own schemes.

No matter what, they couldn’t let Lin Hao leave.

The leader looked at Lin Hao’s retreating figure with a grim expression and waved his hand, “Stop!”

Lin Hao, however, seemed not to hear him and continued walking forward.

Seeing this, the leader ordered his men, “Block him.”

Three men hurried forward and surrounded Lin Hao, cutting off his path.

Lin Hao had no choice but to stop.

Glancing at the unfriendly faces around him, a flicker of ridicule flashed briefly in Lin Hao’s eyes. Then, adopting a serious expression, he asked, “Senior Brothers, what are you doing?”

“Didn’t you hear me tell you to stop?” the senior brother walking slowly toward Lin Hao demanded.

Lin Hao replied, “Oh, Senior Brother, you were calling me? What instructions do you have? I’m in a hurry to verify this matter with the Eldest Senior Brother.”

“No need to verify. I can make an exception and let you in, but I heard the Eldest Senior Brother gave you many good things. Just hand over some of them, and I’ll let you into the Blessed Land,” the man said, his eyes flashing with heat and greed.

Recently, rumors had spread widely that the Eldest Senior Brother Chu Yue favored Lin Hao greatly and secretly gave him many treasures and cultivation techniques, making others envious and resentful.

Though these were just rumors, no one had actually seen such gifts.

Yet, this piece of gossip was enough to drive some mad. The Enforcement Hall’s men had conspired to coerce Lin Hao into handing over something, coveting the Eldest Senior Brother Cao Yi’s gifts to Lin Hao.

Unexpectedly, Lin Hao played dumb in front of them and even wanted to bring the matter to the Eldest Senior Brother’s attention, showing no gratitude nor understanding of social etiquette.

This only enraged the man further, thinking, “Once you hand over that stuff, I’ll teach you a lesson so you learn your place.”

Hearing this, Lin Hao smiled inwardly. So that’s what they were waiting for.

Yet he kept a straight face and said, “What are you talking about? Senior Brother, when did the Eldest Senior Brother give me anything? I don’t know about any treasures or valuables.”

“Don’t play dumb here, kid. Hand over the stuff quickly. If you don’t, don’t even think about leaving today.”

Seeing Lin Hao still feigning ignorance, the man grew furious.

He stepped forward, grabbed Lin Hao’s collar, and glared at him viciously.

At the moment his hand seized Lin Hao’s collar, Lin Hao instinctively wanted to slap him but restrained himself.

He looked down at the hand holding his collar, briefly flashing displeasure before masking it, staring coldly at the threatening man.

Lin Hao immediately feigned panic, grabbing the man’s hand, and said, “Senior Brother, what are you doing? I really don’t understand what you mean, and I’m not pretending.”

“Still playing dumb? Fine, you’re quite bold,” the man said as he gripped Lin Hao’s collar with one hand and clenched his other into a fist, swinging it at him.

He expected to teach Lin Hao a lesson with this punch.

However, as his fist neared Lin Hao’s face, Lin Hao’s speed was blinding. He raised his hand and firmly caught the punch.

“Bang!” With a kick, he sent the man flying.

Before the man could react, he crashed to the ground, stunned.

The others were too shocked to respond immediately.

When they recovered, the man lay sprawled on the ground, dazed.

Lin Hao’s aura had completely changed. No longer appearing harmless or useless, his entire being radiated the presence of a powerful warrior. The overwhelming pressure made the three men swallow nervously; shock and fear flickered in their eyes.

None dared to attack him.

They hurried over to help the fallen man up. “Senior Brother, are you okay? Are you hurt?”

The man was dumbfounded. He never expected Lin Hao to dare attack him like this.

He lingered in shock on the ground for a moment.

Now helped to his feet, feeling embarrassed by his failure and the humiliating scene, he glared at Lin Hao furiously and pointed a finger at him. “Good, good, Lin Hao, huh? Looks like I really underestimated you.”

A trace of seriousness crept into his gaze as he reassessed Lin Hao.

He added, “You were playing with me just now, weren’t you? How dare you attack an Enforcement Hall disciple? Do you know the rules of the Qingcheng Sect?”

Now he was thinking clearly. Seeing Lin Hao’s changed aura, he realized he had been outplayed and sensed Lin Hao’s strength, so he avoided direct confrontation.

Instead, he twisted the situation, accusing Lin Hao of causing trouble and provoking Enforcement Hall disciples.

His eyes flickered with malice as if he intended to use the sect’s rules to execute Lin Hao on the spot.

He gave a signal to his men, who immediately turned and ran into the Enforcement Hall.

Seeing this, Lin Hao felt a bad premonition and frowned but did not stop the man from escaping.

Looking at the man who approached him, Lin Hao said, “Senior Brother, your words are serious. I wasn’t the one who provoked first. I was purely defending myself. Even if you’re from the Enforcement Hall, you shouldn’t be so arrogant, right?”

Hearing Lin Hao’s words, the man looked at him with a cunning smile and said, “Who said I was the first to make a move? You caused trouble at the Enforcement Hall early this morning. Now that you’re here, if you dare act like this, don’t expect to leave alive.”

The man had already decided to kill Lin Hao.

Just then, the man who had run away returned, looking smug. He pointed at Lin Hao and said, “It’s him. He came to provoke our Enforcement Hall.”

Behind him followed twenty men who quickly surrounded Lin Hao.

Seeing this, Lin Hao was inwardly annoyed. He realized he had been impulsive earlier. This man was just using that excuse to attack him.

His expression hardened as he asked, “What does this mean?”

The man ignored Lin Hao and said to the arriving group, “Everyone, seize him. He came to cause trouble at the Enforcement Hall and must be dealt with according to our rules. The elders will handle the rest.”

With that, more than twenty men used spirit ropes to bind Lin Hao’s hands and feet.

Lin Hao wanted to resist but thought better of it and calmed himself.

Hearing that the elders would personally interrogate him, Lin Hao stopped struggling.

More importantly, he was alone and still carried the token given by the Eldest Senior Brother. After all, this matter originated from the Eldest Senior Brother.

He didn’t want to implicate others and felt it would be improper.

So he did not resist and was escorted to the main hall of the Enforcement Hall.

Upon arrival, the man kicked Lin Hao’s leg, trying to force him to kneel.

“Hmph!” Lin Hao noticed and straightened his legs, refusing to kneel.

The man, seeing Lin Hao’s stubbornness, became angry and kicked him again.

Lin Hao still refused to yield.

With no other choice, the man gritted his teeth and led him inside.

Shortly after, a middle-aged man with a thin mustache under his nose, dressed formally and bearing the insignia of an Enforcement Hall elder on his chest, entered.

He looked stern and upright.

Upon entering, he shouted loudly, “Who dares cause trouble in the Enforcement Hall?”

“The elder, it’s him—Lin Hao. He dared provoke the Enforcement Hall disciples and even knocked me down just now,” the man who had run out earlier said.

Lin Hao saw the man return with the elder and heard his words, his eyes growing cold as he stood silently.

The elder looked at Lin Hao with displeasure.

Lin Hao opened his mouth to explain, but the elder gave him no chance.

“ItI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
