Not even a minute later, a middle-aged woman in professional attire came jogging out of the office.

"G-Greetings, President Li. I am the supervisor here. You can just call me Little Feng," Supervisor Feng said, bowing slightly with a humble attitude.

Li Yan merely gave a faint nod without saying anything else.

"President Li, you'd like to take a look at this Cadillac CTS, am I right?"

"Yes, just looking around to see if it's a good fit. You can simply go over the features; I've pretty much checked out the rest." Li Yan had already grasped the general situation and now just wanted to understand the basic configurations.

Supervisor Feng began to meticulously introduce the car's features.

Gong Leilei stood aside in a daze, nodding along from time to time.

Having not worked there long, she didn't remember much about the vehicle specifications.

Another thing was that she kept glancing at Li Yan, feeling that the current Li Yan was completely different from their school days.

She began to guess at Li Yan's family background. In her eyes, President Sun was a very wealthy and influential boss with a significant presence in their city and beyond.

Yet such a bigwig was treating Li Yan with such profound respect—it was simply unimaginable.

Could it be that Li Yan's family was actually extremely wealthy, and he was just keeping a very low profile?

Thinking of those so-called rich kids in their class who usually acted as if they owned the world, she looked at Luo Jiazhuang, then back at Li Yan.

In an instant, she felt they looked quite well-matched.

She couldn't help feeling a pang of envy toward Luo Jiazhuang. Why didn't she have a boyfriend like this?

Lost in her random thoughts, she suddenly heard Supervisor Feng say, "Leilei, what are you daydreaming about? Why aren't you leading President Li to the VIP lounge yet? I'm going to go organize the paperwork. Make sure you take good care of President Li; whether we close this deal depends on your performance."

"Ah? Oh, oh, right." Gong Leilei nodded in a daze, then mechanically led Li Yan and Luo Jiazhuang to the VIP lounge.

She couldn't even figure out how things had wrapped up so quickly.

After listening to Supervisor Feng's introduction, Li Yan decided he might as well just buy this car.

He chose the Cadillac because it barely passed as somewhat high-end, and besides, who could turn down the ownership of a car that could automatically navigate straight to a foot-bath parlor staffed by numerous beautiful and attentive technician sisters?

Earlier, Li Yan had asked Supervisor Feng if a discount could be given on the price, stating that 350,000 would be best if paid in full.

Trimming nearly 40,000 off the price for a full, non-loan payment meant that the dealership would make very little profit.

Using the pretext of organizing the paperwork, Supervisor Feng went to report to President Sun.

After all, this was an esteemed guest whom President Sun had specifically instructed her to receive personally, and how to handle it definitely depended on President Sun's wishes.

"President Sun, President Li wants to buy that Cadillac CTS. He asked if it could be taken for 350,000 paid in full. What are your instructions?" Supervisor Feng stood before President Sun to report.

Upon hearing this, President Sun cast his gaze toward Zhang Wenfeng, who was sipping tea.

Seeing President Sun seeking his opinion, Zhang Wenfeng smiled and said, "Why are you looking at me, Old Sun? The relationship this young man has is far from simple. Exactly how complex it is, I can't really explain in detail. However, I can tell you that staying on good terms with this young man will definitely never result in a loss."

Earlier, President Sun had tried to pry into Li Yan's background from Zhang Wenfeng, but Zhang Wenfeng had not divulged the details to President Sun.

With someone of Li Yan's status, the fewer people who knew, the better.

Even though he and President Sun had a very good relationship, there was no guarantee that President Sun wouldn't let something slip one day.

President Sun thought for a moment and said, "Understood. Little Feng, go with the price President Li requested. Oh, and get a VIP membership card issued for President Li, and include all the complimentary perks you can. Understand?"

Supervisor Feng nodded, feeling that her initial attitude toward Li Yan hadn't been enthusiastic enough and that she needed to put on a stellar performance moving forward.

After all, even the boss wanted to cozy up to this young man; he must be truly extraordinary.

Inside the VIP lounge, Gong Leilei felt rather restless and awkward, unsure of what to do with herself.

She felt she could no longer view Li Yan through the lens of a former classmate, yet she had no idea how to handle the situation.

"Leilei, why are you just standing there? Sit down." Noticing Gong Leilei's awkwardness, Luo Jiazhuang pulled her hand and urged her to sit.

Li Yan smiled and teased, "What? Are you intimidated by my dashing good looks?"

That finally coaxed a giggle out of Gong Leilei.

"Li Yan, I had no idea you were so impressive. Why were you keeping such a low profile before?" she asked with a puzzled expression.

Li Yan shrugged. "Was I? Not really. I think I've been pretty normal."

Luo Jiazhuang rolled her eyes at Li Yan. He was still as unserious as ever.

The atmosphere among the three of them relaxed considerably as they began chatting about which university they planned to apply to, what majors they would choose, and so on.

Gong Leilei's grades were also quite good, on par with Luo Jiazhuang's, and as the two girls chatted, they began discussing attending the same school.

Soon, Supervisor Feng walked into the VIP lounge carrying the contract.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, President Li. Here is the contract. Please take a look, and let me know if you have any questions."

Li Yan took the contract and found no issues after reading through it.

He had long since anticipated dropping the price to 350,000.

"Alright, everything looks fine. Bring the card reader over so I can pay." Li Yan picked up a pen and briskly signed his name on the contract.

Even at this moment, he still felt a bit of excitement inside.

However, he didn't let it show on his face, maintaining an indifferent expression.

After all, he had to maintain his persona.

Gong Leilei watched with her mouth slightly agape, continuously staring at Li Yan.

This was 350,000 we were talking about, yet he didn't hesitate or deliberate for a second—he signed the contract when he said he would, and swiped his card without batting an eye.

While Li Yan was busy swiping his card, Gong Leilei said to Luo Jiazhuang with a hint of envy, "Jiazhuang, I'm so jealous of you for having such a boyfriend."

Hearing Gong Leilei's words, Luo Jiazhuang smiled faintly and said, "Well? Was my judgment right or wrong?"

Although she wasn't entirely familiar with all of Li Yan's circumstances, she felt her vanity being thoroughly satisfied.

As expected, the man chosen by this young lady was bound to be exceptional in every lifetime.

Gong Leilei, on the other hand, felt thoroughly flexed upon.

Meanwhile, under Manager Luo's explanations, Teacher Yang had spent about an hour hesitating before finally making up her mind to buy the Mazda.

However, she had been sweet-talked by Manager Luo into opting for installment financing.

With the paperwork completed and payment settled, Li Yan and Luo Jiazhuang enjoyed snacks and coffee in the VIP lounge. About half an hour later, Gong Leilei handed the car keys and a VIP membership card to Li Yan.

"Li Yan, you must be the first one in our class to buy a car. How does it feel? Are you excited?" Gong Leilei was thrilled because Supervisor Feng had told her this commission would be credited to her.

Even though she had been in a daze the whole time, she had genuinely closed the sale.

Several of her colleagues were green with envy that she had managed to sell a Cadillac not long after starting the job.

The commission was more than selling three or four Mazdas combined.

Accepting the keys with a smile, Li Yan said, "It's definitely worth celebrating. Let's all go out for dinner tonight, my treat."

"You got it!" Gong Leilei replied with a bright smile.

Li Yan didn't need to worry about the related paperwork at all; Supervisor Feng and her team would take care of it themselves.

With a temporary license plate mounted, Li Yan drove the car back.

Luo Jiazhuang kept her eyes fixed on Li Yan from the passenger seat, her gaze so affectionate it seemed it could melt.

"Why do you keep staring at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

With her eyebrows curved into pretty crescents, Luo Jiazhuang smiled at Li Yan and said, "Li Yan, I have a feeling you aren't going to be well-behaved in the future, and I'm wondering what I should do about it."

Driving the car without turning his head, Li Yan replied, "Tsk, what kind of talk is that? I've said all along that I'm going to be a heartbreaker. The worst that can happen is you become the head wife in the future, and everyone else can just be the concubines."

Luo Jiazhuang arched her delicate brows, put her hands on her hips, and glared at Li Yan. "Li Yan, if you dare, I'll bite your head off."

Li Yan shrugged. "Oh, not satisfied with that? Then you can be the concubine, and they can be the main wives instead."

"Li Yan!!!" Clenching her fists and grinding her pearls, Luo Jiazhuang wished she could punch Li Yan right then and there if he weren't currently driving.

As Li Yan navigated the road, a red car suddenly cut him off.

"Damn it, does this person not use their turn signals when changing lanes?"

Since the car was brand new, he really didn't want it scratched right after driving it off the lot.

Luo Jiazhuang chimed in with a complaint, "Hmph, what kind of driver is that? Do they think the road belongs to their family?"

Failing to complete its lane change, the red Mazda had no choice but to tuck itself obediently back into the leftmost lane.

This happened to coincide with the evening rush hour.

Sitting in her car, Teacher Yang pressed the horn in agitation. She could have inched forward just a bit more, but a traffic accident seemed to have occurred right ahead.

Even though the light had turned green, she was stuck waiting in the traffic jam for quite a while.

When Li Yan turned his head and spotted the person in the red car, he couldn't help but chuckle.

"Hey, it's Teacher Yang," Luo Jiazhuang recognized her as well.

A sudden thought popped into Li Yan's head, and he grinned mischievously at Luo Jiazhuang. "Hehe, let's tease her a little."

"Ah, you probably shouldn't," Luo Jiazhuang tried to stop him, but it was already too late.

Li Yan honked the horn, rolled down his window, and waved in the direction of Teacher Yang.

Recognizing Li Yan, Teacher Yang's eyes flashed with utter astonishment and disbelief.

"Teacher Yang, driving a Mazda really does get you stuck in traffic! I'll be heading home first, then, bye-bye!" With that, Li Yan pressed down on the accelerator and sped away.

It took only a moment for Teacher Yang to realize she had just been mocked.

Furious enough to emit smoke from her orifices, she continuously pounded on the horn to vent her frustration.
