Captain Yuan was deeply shocked. He had rushed to the scene the moment he heard the commotion, yet in such a short span of time, all four men had been brutally killed. This implied that their fates had likely been sealed within a mere few exchanges. The realization left him trembling with dread; to possess such strength, could the perpetrator be a Dou Long expert?

But how could there possibly be a Dou Long expert in Changling City at this moment? Captain Yuan looked up as Duan Shi led Di Yuan forward. Cupping his hands, Duan Shi reported, "Captain Yuan, our inspection confirms that these six men are indeed dead, and they perished only moments ago. Furthermore, my subordinates checked the small cabin; Su Yi is gone, though there are significant cracks and signs of a struggle inside."

Su Yi was missing? Captain Yuan’s brow furrowed as he pondered, "These six men infiltrated the auction house in the dead of night to target Su Yi. Why would they all be slaughtered in an instant, and why would Su Yi have vanished?"

Duan Shi, Di Yuan, and the others lowered their heads, unable to solve the mystery. Logic dictated that if six experts had joined forces to deal with Su Yi, the boy should have stood no chance of survival. Yet, his corpse was nowhere to be found. Could it be that Su Yi had...

Impossible! Shaking their heads vigorously to dispel the wild notion, they concluded that someone else must have intervened, allowing Su Yi to escape in the chaos.

"Forget it. Send some men to clear away these bodies and dispatch others to search the surrounding area for Su Yi," Captain Yuan finally sighed, waving his hand.

At one of the auction house’s stations, Lin Tie stood alone, appearing quite diligent. However, a closer look would reveal his gaze occasionally drifting toward the direction of Su Yi’s cabin. He had heard the loud crash, and with many guards rushing toward that area, he had wanted to go as well, but his meager strength left him unqualified.

Just as he was hesitating, Lin Tie instinctively looked up. Suddenly, he caught sight of a figure cutting through the moonlight, soaring across the sky. The moonlight illuminated the person's face, and the image flashed into Lin Tie’s pupils like a lightning bolt.

"This... how is this possible?! It’s... Su Yi..." Lin Tie’s body went limp, and he slumped to the ground, muttering with a vacant stare.

High in the night sky, Su Yi, seemingly indifferent or perhaps simply not caring, ignored Lin Tie and flew rapidly out of the auction house. At that moment, in a dark and concealed spot outside the grounds, several figures slowly emerged. By their appearance, they were clearly experts from the Lie family, including Lie Tie and Ken Mu.

The two men wore dark, resentful expressions, their gazes fixed intently on the cabin within the auction house. They were not originally part of this mission, but they had volunteered for the task of keeping watch just to witness Su Yi’s demise and vent their hatred.

"Elders, we have been waiting here for quite some time. Why aren't we going in?" Lie Tie clenched his fists, suppressing his impatience, and whispered to the two old men in front of him.

One of the elders let out a cold hum. "Go in now? Didn't you hear that sound and the subsequent commotion in the auction house? Clearly, the situation has changed. How can we act rashly without proper preparation?"

"Uh, Elder..." Ken Mu, standing nearby, instinctively rubbed his shoulder and leaned in to whisper respectfully, "Since there is chaos in the auction house, wouldn't it be easier for us to sneak in now?"

"Sneak in amidst the chaos? Heh, the auction house is crawling with people now, and security has certainly been tightened. It might have even alerted those few individuals. Trying to sneak in and capture Su Yi without being detected is no simple task!" The elder continued, but suddenly his expression shifted. With a look of shock and disbelief, he whipped his head around to stare at the sky.

The others were startled and followed his gaze toward the night sky. They watched in horror as a black shadow streaked out of the auction house, flew into the air, and vanished into the vast darkness in a flash!

"Levitating... in the void. A Dou Wang expert?!" The other elder’s jaw dropped, his eyes bulging as if they might pop out. Lie Tie, Ken Mu, and the others were equally stunned, their mouths agape in utter disbelief. First it was Mei Ya, and now this mysterious Dou Wang. These were levels of power that hadn't been seen in Changling City for decades, yet they were appearing one after another. It was madness!

The first elder gradually regained his composure. A cool night breeze blew, and he felt a chill settle over him; he realized he was drenched in cold sweat. It was no wonder—a Dou Long expert was intimidating enough, let alone a Dou Wang, a figure who looked down upon all living beings as mere ants.

"The situation has changed. I never expected a Dou Wang to appear in the auction house. And judging by their trajectory, they seem to be heading straight for the Aubon family. The connection remains unclear, so we cannot act rashly. We must cancel the mission and return to report to the Patriarch immediately!" The elder took a deep breath, his voice still trembling slightly.

The others had no objections. The threat of a Dou Wang was simply too great; an impulsive move could spell catastrophe for the Lie family. However, Lie Tie and Ken Mu looked frustrated—the chance to teach Su Yi a lesson had vanished just like that.

"Rest assured, Su Yi isn't going anywhere. Once tonight passes, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch him..." Sensing their thoughts, the elder added, turning away to lead the group out of the auction house and into the night. Deep in his heart, however, he kept one thought to himself: "Strange... why did the back of that Dou Wang look so familiar?"

Late that night, the lights remained on in the main hall of the Aubon estate. Aubon Shan paced back and forth, his footsteps clattering against the hard stone floor. Usually, these sounds went unnoticed, but for some reason, they caused a sense of inexplicable agitation and unease in him.

The surrounding lamps were dim, casting the vast hall into semi-darkness. In the shadows stood several elders, waiting silently and respectfully for the Patriarch to speak.

"By now, the Great Elder and his team should have infiltrated the auction house and completed their task. Why is there still no word? Could something have gone wrong?" Aubon Shan stopped his pacing, his voice heavy.

"Patriarch, do not worry. The Great Elder and his three companions are formidable. Even if they were discovered, they have the ability to retreat safely," one elder replied. He understood Aubon Shan’s anxiety; nearly half of the family’s top experts had been sent on this mission. If something happened to them, it would be a devastating blow to the Aubon family.

Aubon Shan nodded, pondering for a moment. "I have confidence in them. Even if their tracks were revealed, taking that little bastard Su Yi shouldn't be difficult. My only concern is whether those people at the auction house would intervene."

"That shouldn't be a problem, Patriarch. With the strength of the four of them, even if they were besieged, they would have had the time to fire a signal arrow. Since no signal has been sent, it is clear they haven't encountered any danger," the elder continued. "Patriarch, you can rest assured and wait for the news of Su Yi’s death..."

Hearing this, Aubon Shan finally relaxed, a cruel, satisfied grin spreading across his face as if he could already see Su Yi’s mangled corpse.

Just as the Aubon family discussed the matter, Su Yi’s figure, looking like a demonic specter, appeared slowly from the sky. Directly below him lay the sprawling complex of the Aubon family’s buildings.

"Heh heh heh! Is this the Aubon family that sought to trouble me? I shall return the 'favor' with a grand gift. Heh heh..." Su Yi’s sinister, owl-like laughter echoed through the dark night sky. Although he had deliberately masked his aura, his presence remained terrifyingly oppressive.

Gently stroking the Void-Breaking Crossbow held in his right hand, Su Yi glanced at the magic core embedded within it. He frowned slightly, then let out a cold, chilling laugh. "While it is true that only sixth-rank magic cores and above are coveted by the experts of this continent, this one will suffice for now..."

As his icy words faded, a surge of powerful, black Dou Qi erupted from his body, violently converging upon the Void-Breaking Crossbow!
