Lie Feifei, Gree, and Liu Xuan all turned their heads together, following the direction of Lie Ren’s finger, and sure enough, they saw Su Yi standing before a street vendor, seemingly choosing something. The three of them wore different expressions on their faces.

Lie Feifei hadn’t expected to run into Su Yi here and was a little surprised. If this had happened in the past, her heart would have been filled with excitement and joy, believing in the so-called fate of legends. But now, she felt nothing but aversion and disgust. The very thought that she had once treated this good-for-nothing so tenderly and liked him made her feel deeply uncomfortable.

Gree's face, on the other hand, remained calm and indifferent, no particular expression showing, though her eyes betrayed a sense of detachment and disdain. Her lips were pressed together in a cold, silent line, as if she didn’t want to say a single word.

Liu Xuan’s brow furrowed slightly at first, then he smiled and said, “Speaking of him, he’s been quite the talk of the town in Changling City these days. Everywhere you go, from the main streets to the alleyways, people are gossiping about how he defeated Auben Yu.”

Lie Feifei curled her lip disdainfully. “What skills could he possibly have to defeat Auben Yu? It must have been pure luck. People just love to exaggerate and twist the truth!”

“Feifei is right,” Gree said with a faint smile. “Su Yi can’t even cultivate battle force—there’s absolutely no way he could be Auben Yu’s match. There must be something more to this story.”

Lie Feifei was surprised that Gree, for once, agreed with her, but she only snorted softly and said nothing. Lie Ren, standing beside her, burst out laughing. “Exactly! These past few days, people have been making up all sorts of wild stories. Saying they fought hundreds of rounds, or that Su Yi only had to shout and Auben Yu fainted! Just ridiculous!”

Liu Xuan glanced at Gree, hoping to win her favor, then smiled and said to the others, “Since Su Yi is right over there, why don’t we go ask him ourselves?”

What’s the point of asking? Lie Feifei thought to herself. Gree’s expression remained cool, but a glimmer of curiosity and confusion flickered in her eyes; she simply couldn’t figure out how Su Yi had defeated Auben Yu.

Lie Ren, with a mocking grin, said, “I’d actually like to see Su Yi make a fool of himself. Let’s go and say hello…”

With that, Lie Ren strode forward and called out to Su Yi in a sarcastic tone, “Hey, Su Yi, what kind of wind blew you here today?”

Su Yi had already seen them earlier, but not wanting to deal with them, he’d pretended not to notice, hoping they would leave him alone. But as fate would have it, Lie Ren brought the group over anyway.

Ignoring Lie Ren’s question, Su Yi’s gaze swept past him and landed on the two beautiful, alluring women beside him. After all, beauties always drew the eye. As for Liu Xuan, who stood nearby, Su Yi didn’t even register his presence.

Seeing Lie Feifei and Gree—those two extremely snobbish women whose attitudes could flip faster than a page—Su Yi originally had no interest in speaking to them. Yet suddenly, a wave of violent emotion surged through him.

At that moment, Su Yi was overwhelmed with the urge to brutally violate and humiliate those two women, then discard them like garbage. Or perhaps strip them naked and keep them as obedient slaves to satisfy his desires! This feeling was accompanied by a strong sense of alienation and unreality, as if he were a bystander watching a play. It was as though the person standing there wasn’t himself, but someone else entirely.

Su Yi closed his eyes and shook his head, dispelling the negative emotions that he instinctively knew did not belong to him. Regaining his sense of presence, reality, and belonging in his own body, he felt a bit more grounded. A moment ago, he’d felt a strange resonance with the wicked soul hiding inside him, always seeking to seize control. Could it be that, deep down, he truly harbored such thoughts?

Still shaken, Su Yi focused his mind, determined not to let the evil soul seize an opportunity. In any case, he couldn’t let this situation continue—he needed to find a way to expel or destroy that wicked spirit. And as for that white mask…

With these thoughts, Su Yi’s face grew serious, but to Lie Ren and the others, it merely looked as though he was frightened or intimidated. The two women, who already looked down on Su Yi, now felt even more contempt.

Seeing Su Yi remain silent, the atmosphere grew awkward. Lie Ren’s face twitched in embarrassment and, growing irritated, snapped at Su Yi, “Are you deaf, Su Yi?! Didn’t you hear me ask you a question?!”

Su Yi sighed helplessly, his expression cold. “What do you want?”

Lie Ren was annoyed by Su Yi’s calm demeanor and was about to heap ridicule upon him when Liu Xuan, who had been waiting for his chance, finally spoke up in a condescending tone. “Su Yi, we heard you defeated Auben Yu a few days ago, and we’re very curious. Can you tell us how it happened?”

Su Yi didn’t even look at Liu Xuan. “What does that have to do with you?”

Liu Xuan’s expression darkened—he hadn’t expected Su Yi to embarrass him so in front of Gree, leaving him with no way to save face. He jabbed his finger at Su Yi’s head and snapped, “Su Yi, don’t mistake our kindness for weakness! We’re giving you a chance by asking. Do you really think a useless piece of trash like you is worthy of speaking to us?!”

At Liu Xuan’s words, Su Yi’s face turned cold, and a hint of chill crept into his voice. “I’d advise you to put your hand down.”

“Haha! Su Yi, is that a threat?” Liu Xuan chuckled as if he’d heard a joke, his eyes brimming with scorn and arrogance. “And if I don’t, what can you possibly do about it?”

Lie Feifei and Gree both felt a surge of disdain—Su Yi clearly had no skills, yet he still dared to talk big. Lie Ren echoed the mockery from the side, “That’s right, Su Yi. Liu Xuan here is a third-level fighter now. What could you possibly do to him?”

Su Yi smiled faintly, flashing white teeth. “You’ll find out in a moment.”

No sooner had the words left his lips than Su Yi shot out his right hand like lightning, seizing Liu Xuan’s outstretched wrist before he could react. Startled, Liu Xuan immediately tried to break free with his battle force, only to be shocked by the sheer strength of Su Yi’s grip—he was utterly powerless to resist!

When someone encounters something beyond their control, their subconscious is filled with unease. Liu Xuan panicked, desperately trying to kick Su Yi away, but Su Yi twisted his wrist with a powerful wrench.

Liu Xuan’s arm was instantly wracked with excruciating pain, his face contorted in agony, his body bending awkwardly to the side, utterly unable to put up any resistance.

Watching Liu Xuan’s twisted, helpless form and his face twisted in pain, Lie Feifei instinctively covered her rosy lips with her delicate white hand. The smile on her charming face froze in disbelief. The mighty third-level fighter looked as powerless as a wad of cotton in Su Yi’s grasp!

Gree and Lie Ren’s expressions changed as well, shock overtaking their faces. Their breathing quickened involuntarily, and their stunned looks mingled with the remnants of their earlier derision, creating a rather comical sight.

Liu Xuan sensed the shift in the crowd and his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He had planned to teach Su Yi a lesson in front of everyone, to show off his own power, but instead he’d been utterly humiliated. His heart filled with rage and hatred.

He glared at Su Yi and snarled, “I’m warning you—let go of me right now! Otherwise my father will kill you! He’ll tear you to pieces, grind your bones to dust, and make sure you have no place to be buried!”

Su Yi shot him a cold glance, then suddenly tightened his grip. The others heard the crisp sound of bones shattering, and in the next moment, Liu Xuan let out a scream of pain that pierced the heart. He began to sob and groan in agony, his whole body shaking, tears streaming down his face.

Pain contorted Liu Xuan’s features, and at last, his gaze toward Su Yi was filled with terror. He hadn’t expected Su Yi to be so ruthless and unrestrained, completely ignoring his threats and decisively shattering his wrist.

“You… you… let me go…” Liu Xuan stammered, his body trembling under the assault of pain and fear. He was truly afraid now; whatever else happened, he just wanted to escape Su Yi’s grasp. His own life was more important—revenge could wait for another day.
