Chapter 65: Kiss Me
That’s right!
In his previous life, Zhou Qiang had died at Cao Kun’s hands!
It wasn't because Cao Kun took the initiative to kill him, but because he simply couldn't take it anymore.
You see, this guy Zhou Qiang was a supermale—someone suffering from XYY syndrome.
Moreover, he was among the most violent and volatile of all XYY individuals.
Back in prison, he fought with people every single day.
Some people might ask, surely there must have been a reason for it.
A reason my ass!
When a violent XYY psychopath wants to hit someone or kill someone, what kind of reason are you looking for?
Is your brain thoroughly scrambled?
He was already one of the most volatile XYYs out there—isn't that reason enough?
Back then, Cao Kun simply couldn't take this bastard's constant provocations anymore. When Zhou Qiang tried to ambush him once again to finish him off, Cao Kun reached out, grabbed him by the throat, and literally ripped his windpipe and lung lobes right out.
He never expected that the man he had killed in his past life would cross his path again in this one.
For a split second, Cao Kun felt a sense of surreal vertigo.
What was the meaning of this reunion?
Did the universe expect him to kill the guy all over again?
However, this thought lingered in Cao Kun's mind for barely a tenth of a second before he dismissed it entirely!
Are you kidding me?
He was now just a calm, easygoing, and sunny young man dedicated to enjoying life; he wasn't going to go around killing people.
Besides, this was a society governed by the rule of law—the police uncles were there to handle everything!
Furthermore, he had already killed the guy once in the past life; what kind of deep grudge warranted doing it a second time?
As long as this mad dog Zhou Qiang didn't provoke him before he got off at his stop, Cao Kun couldn't care less about meddling in other people's business.
It was just a pity for the other people in this business-class carriage, though; they were all going to die tonight!
Because, if Cao Kun remembered correctly, Zhou Qiang had been arrested less than twelve hours after committing his crimes.
And the place where he was captured was a certain high-speed railway station.
Which specific station, Cao Kun couldn't quite remember.
Anyway, he was arrested by the police right at the railway station.
During those twelve hours, he had murdered a total of six people.
Namely, a family of three from his neighboring village, along with two passengers and a flight attendant on the bullet train.
It all added up now!
Since Cao Kun could sense that murderous aura, Zhou Qiang must have already finished off that family of three neighbors. It was just that he hadn't had his fill yet and still wanted more blood!
Otherwise, the murderous intent radiating from him wouldn't have been so intense.
As for this compartment, aside from himself, there were only two passengers and a young female attendant.
Exactly three people!
In other words, if nothing went wrong and history followed the trajectory of his past life, the remaining two passengers and the female attendant in this carriage would all die at Zhou Qiang's hands tonight.
Zhou Qiang walked in, his expressionless eyes scanning the room before locking directly onto Cao Kun.
Cao Kun offered a faint smile, acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary. He opened his water bottle, took a sip, adjusted his seat to a flat position, and closed his eyes.
There was still an hour until the station; time to catch some shut-eye.
He just hoped Zhou Qiang wouldn't start anything before he got off the train. As long as the violence didn't break out before his stop, he would completely ignore it.
After scanning the surroundings, whether because he felt the timing wasn't right or for some other reason, Zhou Qiang simply found an empty seat and lay down just like Cao Kun had.
Fortunately, the female attendant had also closed her eyes to rest for a moment; otherwise, she would have come over to check tickets and chased him out.
Had she done that, Zhou Qiang probably would have struck immediately.
Time ticked away second by second!
In the blink of an eye, there were only twenty minutes left until the station!
Although Cao Kun kept his eyes closed, he remained fully attuned to the movements within the carriage.
Only twenty minutes left until Xiaxian Station. Excellent. If he could just hold out for these twenty minutes, he could happily disembark.
Then, this bullet train journey would go down as the most peaceful one of his reborn life, completely free of any accidents.
Just as Cao Kun was thinking this, a faint fragrance suddenly drifted over, and a blanket was gently draped across his chest.
Cao Kun opened his eyes and found himself looking straight into the gentle, smiling face of the female attendant.
The attendant offered a sweet smile and whispered softly, "I'm sorry, Mr. Cao, did I wake you? I just wanted to put a blanket on you. Please go right back to sleep; I'll make sure to wake you up when we arrive."
Looking at the attendant's gentle, sweet smile, Cao Kun felt a sudden, inexplicable surge of reluctance. Without a second thought, he reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Startled by the sudden grip on her wrist, the attendant's pretty face flushed red. She stammered in a low voice, "Mr. Cao, is there something else you need?"
Cao Kun thought for a moment and said, "Kiss me."
Huh?
The attendant's face turned even redder. She bit her lower lip and said shyly, "I can't do that, Mr. Cao. That's definitely not part of my job description."
"Just do it," Cao Kun urged. "That way I'll have a reason to help you. Otherwise, we're total strangers—why on earth should I stick my neck out for you?"
The attendant looked completely bewildered. However, glancing over at the other two passengers who were still fast asleep, she finally leaned down with a blushing face and planted a quick kiss on Cao Kun's cheek.
"There, are you happy now, Mr. Cao?" the attendant said shyly. "That was actually my first kiss, you know. Please let go of me now; if the supervisor sees us messing around like this, I'll get chewed out."
Facing the attendant's bashful expression, Cao Kun still didn't let go. Instead, he said, "Go forward. Go to another carriage. Do not stay in this one, and don't come back here tonight."
"And as for the guy at the back of the carriage—don't go near him. Remember, absolutely do not go near him!"
Hearing this, the attendant froze and hurriedly looked toward the rear of the carriage.
Only then did she notice that at some point, a man had entered the back of the compartment and was lying there sleeping quite comfortably.
At that sight, panic instantly gripped the attendant.
Good heavens, she hadn't even noticed when someone had sneaked into the business-class cabin! If the supervisor found out about this, getting chewed out until her ears bled would be the least of her worries—she might even lose part of her salary and bonus.
"Mr. Cao, I need to go handle something. I can't chat with you right now."
Panicking, the attendant wrenched her wrist free from Cao Kun's grip and hurried briskly toward Zhou Qiang.
Seeing this, Cao Kun opened his mouth as if to say something, but stopped. With a heavy sigh, he sat up.
Damn it!
There were only twenty minutes left! He was so close to getting off safely and peacefully—why couldn't she have just held on a little longer?!
The female attendant walked quickly up to Zhou Qiang and said gently, "Sir, please wake up. Excuse me, sir, wake up please."
To be precise, Zhou Qiang hadn't been sleeping at all!
After all, having just killed people, the lingering thrill and the scent of blood had left his brain over-stimulated, keeping him in a high state of addiction and reliving the rush.
As Zhou Qiang suddenly snapped his eyes open, the female attendant felt an unprovoked chill grip her heart, causing her to shudder.
For some reason, she felt that this man... was extremely dangerous!
Yet, her professional duty drove her to press forward despite her misgivings.
"Excuse me, sir, could you please show me your ID card or your train ticket?"
