“Yu Yangyang, you really live up to your reputation for being foolish.”

With those words, Yu Zi strode straight back to her office.

Yu Yangyang watched her retreating figure with a burning resentment, a hatred that grew wildly like weeds in her heart.

She knew this plan had failed. She had intended to undermine Yu Zi, but unexpectedly, she only helped her secure her position in the company.

Especially that last remark—now everyone would know it was her who sabotaged the projector.

How would everyone at the company see her from now on?

At the thought, Yu Yangyang wished she could faint on the spot.

Why was it that Yu Zi, being their father’s daughter, effortlessly became the general manager?

And what about her? She was merely a team leader, a position now stripped away by their father, who even made her study alongside Yu Zi?

Frustration and bitterness spread through Yu Yangyang’s heart.

No, she had to find a way; she couldn’t let Yu Zi have it easy.

With that thought, her eyes gleamed as she whispered softly to herself.

“Yu Zi, I’ve thought about letting you off, but you’re just too hard to deal with.”

That night.

When Yu Zi returned to the villa, she was surprised to find the house brightly lit.

She paused briefly, then stepped into the living room, raising an eyebrow when she saw everyone seated on the sofa.

Before Yu Zi could speak, a glass was hurled at her.

Not a fool, Yu Zi dodged to the side, her expression turning cold and dark.

Her gaze fixed on Yu Cheng with an inexplicable look.

“What madness is this now?”

Before Yu Cheng could answer, Yu Yangyang’s tearful voice broke out.

“Dad, see, I told you, it’s sister who’s bullying me. If she treats you like this, imagine how she treats me. Everyone at work looks at me so terribly now. Boo hoo, Dad, you have to stand up for me.”

“She has no evidence and is falsely accusing me. Everyone says she’s so capable, but what about me? Some even say Dad, you can’t compare to Yu Zi back then. With the company in her hands, you can rest easy.”

Yu Yangyang’s voice faltered, lacking conviction.

Those words were coached by Jiang Shuqi. She didn’t understand why, but she always obeyed her mother.

Yu Cheng’s face darkened, his glare fixed fiercely on Yu Zi.

“Yu Zi, I’ll give you a chance to explain. What do you have to say?”

Yu Zi said nothing in defense, only calmly replied,

“Do you believe her?”

Yu Cheng hesitated for only a moment before replying again.

“If not, would I believe a rebellious daughter like you?”

“Yu Zi, I don’t care how you sisters fight over favor, but she is your younger sister. How can you say such things in front of everyone?”

“If someone with ill intent spreads this, how will your sister live her life afterward?”

Though long disappointed in their father, hearing his blatant partiality toward Yu Yangyang chilled Yu Zi’s heart.

“It was she who sabotaged the projector beforehand and provoked me at every turn. I only defended myself. Does that mean, Dad, I’m supposed to endure everything?”

“Surely you know this project is the result of three months’ worth of efforts from everyone at the company. Yet Yu Yangyang, out of jealousy, tried to ruin this meeting. Tell me, do you want to lose this project just as she does?”
