Post-Publication Author's Note

The book is officially launching tomorrow, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my readers for your support, as well as to my editors, Loach and Awakening, for their valuable guidance.

The novel's performance has indeed been less than ideal, with just over five hundred collections to date. Based on the standard subscription-to-collection ratio, I will definitely be relying on full-attendance bonuses going forward.

Coincidentally, these past few days have coincided with my final project for my statistics course, so I have shamelessly maintained an unstable update schedule. To be honest, I don't have a single chapter banked in advance.

The earlier parts of the story went through quite a few bumps. After all, Werewolf, being a game centered around verbal deduction, has a relatively niche target audience, and its viewing experience lacks the instant gratification of dungeon-crawling and leveling up. Still, I have been trying my best to explore and innovate in terms of format.

I have been listening to readers' feedback, and I incorporate the constructive suggestions whenever appropriate. After going premium, I don't have any lofty goals—securing the attendance bonus will be quite enough.

To those readers complaining that the skill level of the gameplay isn't high enough, I am sure you must have experienced this firsthand when playing online. The quality of the first season of Panda Kill wasn't that great either, with guests constantly making ridiculous plays and irrational moves. I refuse to believe you've never encountered rule-breaking or table-flipping when playing twelve-player games online. Not everyone is as masterful as a professional player, and Werewolf novels are not like League of Legends novels where characters immediately jump into top-tier professional showdowns. The characters' skill levels in the game will scale naturally according to the needs of the plot.

The outline is basically locked in. During the previous promotional trials, some readers pointed out that writing exclusively about Werewolf made things rather unfriendly for casual readers, so I thought the subsequent chapters should lean more toward everyday life. As a result, the current direction feels a bit unfocused, and I have done some reflecting on that. At this point, I suppose you could describe the pacing as steady as a rock. The balance between the gaming aspects and daily life is something I have definitely got firmly figured out in my mind.

Alright, back to typing.
