Chapter 58: A True Demon Spirit
Chen Jianpeng and Li Qilang exchanged glances, each seeing surprise and confusion in the other's eyes.
Er Gou was furious, never expecting Mo Han to be so unafraid of him.
"Mo Han, do you know who my big brother is?" Er Gou barked.
"I don't know, and I don't care to know," Mo Han replied.
Er Gou’s anger flared, but to force Mo Han to kneel and beg for mercy, he had to introduce his big brother.
"My big brother is the head of the largest underground organization in Qiancheng, the president of the Sakura Society. He said, if you don't kneel and beg today, he'll break your legs and feed you to the fish!"
Yet Mo Han's eyes revealed not a trace of fear or panic, which only aggravated Er Gou further.
"Didn't you hear me? Kneel!" Er Gou shouted in rage.
"Clearly I didn't beat you hard enough last time; your brain still isn't working right," Mo Han sneered and stepped forward, slapping him across the face.
Er Gou's pupils widened in disbelief—Mo Han not only refused to fear him but dared to lay hands on him.
Smack!
The slap stunned Er Gou, leaving him dazed. Mo Han, it seemed, was utterly unafraid of his brother Xu Biao!
Xu Biao was the president of the Sakura Society, the strongest figure in Qiancheng's underworld!
Why wasn't Mo Han afraid of him?
"Damn it, I'm going to kill you! Break his legs!" Er Gou screamed hysterically.
Behind him, over a hundred thugs surged forward, shouting as they rushed at Mo Han.
Mo Han merely smirked, unmoved.
As Er Gou tried to retreat, Mo Han seized his shoulder, lifting him off the ground. Then, using Er Gou as a weapon, he hurled him into the crowd, sending thugs flying.
Everyone was dumbfounded. The steel pipes in their hands never dared to strike, for each swing landed only on Er Gou.
Er Gou endured dozens of blows, crying out in pain and begging the others to stop.
"Take them all, don't let a single one escape," Mo Han instructed Ding Si beside him.
"Yes," Ding Si replied and charged into the crowd.
With his fighting prowess, dealing with these hundred thugs was effortless for him.
Ding Si, storming into the fray, grabbed Er Gou and used him as a weapon, smashing him against the others.
This only made everyone more wary and hesitant.
Five or six minutes later, all the thugs lay sprawled on the ground, unable to rise. Ding Si finally tossed the unconscious Er Gou to the floor.
"Take them all to the factory to work. Same rules as before—anyone who tries to escape, break their legs," Mo Han ordered Ding Si.
"Understood!" Ding Si replied, then called Xu Jing and the others. Soon, Xu Jing arrived with a group to round up the thugs feigning death on the ground.
At this moment, Ding Si kicked Er Gou awake, who felt as if his whole body had fallen apart.
But what truly drove him to despair was that Mo Han had once again detained them all as free labor.
A true devil!
Chen Jianpeng and Li Qilang now understood the meaning of Mo Han's earlier words: "I've been waiting for them."
He wanted these thugs to work for him for free!
But to defeat over a hundred thugs single-handedly—Ding Si's strength was monstrous!
If Ding Si was so formidable, what of his master, Mo Han?
What kind of terrifying power must he possess?!
The two men looked at Mo Han with changed expressions.
Were they both women, others would surely suspect they had fallen for Mo Han.
Just then, Li Anan had such a thought.
If Chen Jianpeng and Li Qilang weren't both men, she would truly worry they might try to steal her husband.
...
"Biao, something's wrong—Er Gou and the others are detained at the pharmaceutical factory again," a subordinate reported anxiously at the Sakura Society clubhouse.
"Detained again? Was it Mo Han?" Xu Biao asked, frowning.
"Yes, over a hundred brothers, all beaten down by him again!" The subordinate still showed traces of fear in his eyes.
Xu Biao's face darkened. He lit a cigarette, eyes narrowed to slits.
He took several deep drags, extinguished the cigarette, and said in a low voice, "Notify all brothers—everyone gather at the clubhouse tomorrow at ten. We're smashing the pharmaceutical factory!"
"Yes!" The subordinate replied and left.
"Damn it, that Mo is utterly arrogant; he doesn't care about our Sakura Society at all," Xu Biao said, turning to Tu San, who lounged on the sofa, trimming his nails with a small knife.
Tu San was Xu Biao's most capable lieutenant, his trusted bodyguard who had helped him dominate Qiancheng's underworld.
Without looking up, Tu San replied indifferently, "Have you ever seen anyone take down over a hundred men alone?"
Xu Biao shook his head. After so many years, he had never seen anyone fight like Mo Han.
"If someone possessed that kind of strength, they could afford to be arrogant," Tu San said.
Xu Biao frowned, displeased by Tu San’s words.
"Tu San, you haven't fought in years. Now that you've met someone as strong as Mo Han, aren't you going to test yourself against him?" Xu Biao challenged.
He and Tu San had an agreement: Tu San would not act unless Xu Biao's life was in danger, and Xu Biao could not force him to fight otherwise.
"Alright, I'll meet him tomorrow," Tu San nodded, anticipation in his eyes.
He hadn't fought in ages, for in all of Qiancheng, except for the Blade beside Lord Wu, none could stand against him.
But Mo Han, who could defeat over a hundred thugs single-handedly, was clearly, like him, a powerful martial artist.
Such a man was worth his effort.
"I hope you don't disappoint me tomorrow," Tu San said, putting away his knife and leaving Xu Biao's office.
Watching Tu San’s departing figure, Xu Biao felt not anger toward his arrogance, but excitement.
Within the underworld circle, Xu Biao's status and position far surpassed the other bosses; even Lord Wu had to show him some respect.
But being repeatedly challenged by Mo Han, who detained their brothers to work for free at the pharmaceutical factory, not only humiliated him but made him lose face among the other bosses.
Therefore, Mo Han had to die!
