Hundreds of thousands spent on Da Hong Pao tea are trivial matters; the real issue is that once this connection is severed, he loses a valuable path forward. Qin Changqing felt an overwhelming urge to destroy Li Xianwu. This fool! He didn’t even know what kind of backing his own niece had—no wonder he couldn’t even keep the pharmaceutical factory afloat.

“She has no backing. It’s Mo Han; he seems to have a good relationship with the Chen family. The Chen family even gifted him a villa—the one atop Wangtian Peak,” Li Xianwu replied anxiously. Not wanting to elaborate further, he left out Ding Si’s connection entirely.

“What? The Chen family gave Mo Han a villa? When did this happen? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Qin Changqing’s face changed dramatically; he had never heard any of this before. Wasn’t Mo Han just the Li family’s live-in son-in-law? When did he become acquainted with the Chen family? How could the Chen family even notice a mere son-in-law? That villa atop the mountain was worth at least seventy or eighty million—would the Chen family make such a gesture for an ordinary acquaintance?

“I—I thought you knew,” Li Xianwu said, feeling wronged. When Qin Haoran was making a big show of dealing with Mo Han, Li Xianwu assumed Qin Haoran also knew about Mo Han’s connection to the Chen family.

“Does he have any other connections?” Qin Changqing took a deep breath and asked again.

“I don’t know,” Li An’an shook her head.

Qin Changqing’s expression grew darker than ever. No wonder Yu Wei had just advised him not to trouble the pharmaceutical factory. So, Mo Han was backed by the Chen family! But what exactly was their relationship? When did they become so close? Suddenly, a chilling thought struck Qin Changqing—a notion so unsettling it made him break out in cold sweat.

Could this live-in son-in-law actually be someone of great significance, deliberately hiding his identity from the world?

All at once, Qin Changqing seemed to understand much more, and the deeper he thought, the colder he felt. The more he pondered, the more unwilling he was to accept it!

“Wretch! Even if it costs me dearly, I will see you dead!” Qin Changqing gritted his teeth and declared. He only had one son, and thanks to Mo Han, that son was now utterly ruined—a cripple for life! How could he not avenge this? He could never swallow such humiliation!

“Get me in touch with an international assassin organization. No matter the cost, I want Mo Han’s damned life!” Qin Changqing ordered Li Xianwu. He had deployed all the underground forces, all his connections within the system, all his personal bodyguards—yet none could deal with Mo Han. Now, his only option was to hire international assassins to eliminate him. He refused to believe that even the world’s best killers couldn’t handle a mere live-in son-in-law!

...

“Young master, we’ve found out—the guy is the security manager at the Li Pharmaceutical Factory,” said a middle-aged man, reporting in the VIP ward of the People’s Hospital. Cheng Quan lay in bed, his right hand in a cast.

This middle-aged man was Cheng Pi, the Cheng family’s steward.

“A security manager can be a distinguished guest of the Li family? Do you take me for a fool?” Cheng Quan glared, his voice full of anger.

“Young master, it’s true—see for yourself,” Cheng Pi hurriedly handed over a dossier.

Cheng Quan glanced through it, surprise flickering in his eyes. That Mo Han really was the security manager of Li Pharmaceutical Factory. How could this be? How could a security manager be a distinguished guest of both the Li and Chen families?

“Damn, it must be Li Qilang and Chen Jianpeng deliberately saying this to humiliate me!” Cheng Quan immediately understood. Distinguished guest of the Li and Chen families? Nonsense!

“Li Qilang, Chen Jianpeng—damn your ancestors!” Cheng Quan cursed furiously.

He never expected the two men to be so shameless, concocting an excuse just to humiliate him in public by calling an irrelevant person their honored guest. Damn their eighteen generations of ancestors! Cheng Quan was livid, the humiliation too much to bear—he was so frustrated he felt he might spit blood.

“Young master, do you still want to deal with Mo Han?” Cheng Pi asked.

“Are you stupid? He broke my hand—of course I want to deal with him!” Cheng Quan snapped, glaring.

Cheng Pi trembled, lowering his head in silence.

“Go make contact with the underground forces. I want them not only to smash the pharmaceutical factory but also to break both of Mo Han’s hands and legs!” Cheng Quan commanded angrily.

“Understood,” Cheng Pi replied, preparing to leave.

“Wait—did you find out who that woman is? Mo Han’s wife?” Cheng Quan called after him.

Any woman who caught Cheng Quan’s eye never escaped his grasp.

“She seems to be the factory’s CEO. Her name is Li An’an,” Cheng Pi replied.

“Excellent, excellent! Have the underground forces bring her to me as well—I’ll pay them extra,” Cheng Quan said excitedly. He hadn’t expected that fiery beauty to actually be the factory’s CEO, which was perfect. This time, he wanted to see who could still help Mo Han and Li An’an. The woman he desired would be his, sooner or later!

Cheng Quan clenched his left fist, brimming with confidence.

Meanwhile, atop Wangtian Peak, in the mountain villa, the Li Xiande family gathered in the courtyard, accompanying him for some sunbathing. Today was Li Xiande’s birthday, and the family was preparing to celebrate with him.
