Chapter 53: Flaunting Authority
Seeing that Mo Han was actually about to call their boss, Wang Qin sneered, "Go ahead." She was here to terminate the contract on Yan Yutang’s instructions, so she certainly wasn't afraid of Mo Han calling Yan Yutang.
"Who is this?" The call connected, and Yan Yutang's voice came from the other end.
"This is Mo Han, manager of the security department at Li Pharmaceutical Factory. By the way, Ding Si works under me," Mo Han said simply.
"Ah? Well, hello, hello." Yan Yutang laughed from the other side. Clearly, someone of his status knew Ding Si. Yet Mo Han’s words made him somewhat suspicious.
"I'm not well at all," Mo Han said coldly.
"Ah? Well..." Even over the phone, Yan Yutang immediately sensed Mo Han's dissatisfaction. It left him feeling somewhat vexed—could this young man truly have some connection to Ding Si? Otherwise, how could a mere security manager dare speak with such audacity?
Yan Yutang was a suspicious man—he would rather believe than not. Mo Han must really have some tie to Ding Si, otherwise he wouldn't be so bold.
"Are you familiar with Li Pharmaceutical Factory?" Mo Han asked calmly.
A jolt ran through Yan Yutang’s mind. How could he not know Li Pharmaceutical Factory? He was about to join forces with Qin Changsheng to bring down the factory and obtain the formula for the Rejuvenation Pill for free.
"Young man, you and the factory...?" Yan Yutang probed.
"The factory belongs to my wife. Not even a month has passed, yet you’ve sent people to terminate the contract—this counts as your breach, doesn't it? Two hundred million in breach penalties. Tell me, are you compensating us, or are we compensating you?"
After a pause, Mo Han’s tone turned sharp: "Oh, I forgot to mention—the Tan family was destroyed because they took my daughter’s corneal tissue. Why don’t we make a wager? Let’s bet whether I can wipe out your Dongjia Group.
I’ll give you some time to think it over, to calculate, and see whether you’re ruthless or I am."
With that, he hung up abruptly.
He was, after all, the Lord of the Underworld, master of countless souls, holding the power of life and death. Mo Han could regard the life of mortals as precious—or as insignificant as grass.
Though Yan Yutang was a big shot, in Mo Han’s eyes, he was nothing more than an ant. He cared nothing for morality with his enemies. In his eyes, there were only friends and foes. With foes, morality was meaningless.
Having heard the entire conversation between Mo Han and Yan Yutang, both Li An’an and Wang Qin were stunned.
Li An’an was astonished at how direct Mo Han was—he’d openly invoked Ding Si's name to threaten Yan Yutang. But since things had come to this, perhaps there was still room to maneuver.
Wang Qin, on the other hand, was shocked that Mo Han dared threaten Yan Yutang so blatantly. This kid had guts. Wasn’t he afraid his words would get him in trouble?
"You’re dead, let me tell you," Wang Qin sneered. "You dare threaten our boss? You’ll never have a place in Qian City again!"
"Enough. If you want to grovel to your master, go back and do it. Don’t make me sick by showing up here," Mo Han snorted, issuing a clear order to leave.
Wang Qin’s face changed. She was about to mock Mo Han, but her phone rang. She glanced at it—it was Yan Yutang calling.
"Mr. Yan, they say they can’t deliver within a month, so I’m preparing to have the legal department sue them," Wang Qin reported as soon as she answered.
"Shut up! Apologize to Mr. Mo and his wife immediately. We are not terminating the contract!" Yan Yutang’s angry voice roared through the phone. Wang Qin felt as though she’d been struck by lightning, momentarily unable to react.
In that brief moment, Yan Yutang had already confirmed that Ding Si had been staying at the pharmaceutical factory for some time. He certainly no longer doubted Mo Han’s words. If he offended Mo Han and Ding Si intervened, even ten Dongjia Groups couldn't stand against a giant like Ding Si!
Of course, if Yan Yutang knew that someone like Ding Si was now spending his days simply bringing Mo Han’s daughter around, he’d be so shocked his jaw would drop.
"Did you not hear me? Apologize right now. If you don’t handle this properly, don’t bother coming back to work!" Yan Yutang shouted again.
Wang Qin’s heart trembled. She hurriedly said, "Mr. Yan, I understand. I’ll apologize immediately!"
She didn’t regain her composure until she heard Yan Yutang hang up with a sharp snap.
What on earth was going on? Was Yan Yutang actually afraid of this lowly security guard? How could that be? Wait—just now, Yan Yutang called him ‘Mr.’ Could it be that Mr. Yan had mistaken him for someone else? No matter how she looked at this security guard, he didn’t seem capable at all!
Despite her confusion, Wang Qin dared not ignore Yan Yutang’s instructions. She put away her phone, bowed deeply to Mo Han, and said sincerely, "Mr. Mo, I’m sorry. This was our mistake. I apologize to you and your wife, and hope you’ll forgive us.
Also, our company will not terminate the contract. As for whether the delivery deadline can be extended, and for how long, I’ll need to consult with our boss."
She glanced at Li An’an, feeling puzzled—was Li An’an truly this security guard’s wife?
"Get out. Whether we cooperate or not isn’t for you to decide," Mo Han said coldly.
Seeing the icy look in Mo Han’s eyes, Wang Qin’s heart trembled; she quickly left the factory.
"Don’t worry. With me here, the company will be fine. Just follow your usual work plans," Mo Han told Li An’an.
"Alright." Li An’an nodded. She had just heard Yan Yutang’s voice herself and knew the matter was likely settled. Of course, that was her own assumption—she hoped it was over, but Mo Han would not let it rest so easily.
Today, unless Yan Yutang gave him a clear accounting, Mo Han would make sure Yan Yutang suffered consequences he’d never forget.
