Chapter 126: Willing to Fall from Heaven for You, Part 11

“Don’t worry. She’s only fainted.” Gabriel glanced at the girl beside her, indicating that nothing was seriously wrong.
As Gabriel watched the girl who was still frantically patting her friend’s face, a thoughtful glimmer crossed her eyes. Had the Memory-Erasure Spell failed?
What was going on? Standing behind them, Gabriel secretly cast the spell several more times. Yet the girl before her remained full of energy, without the slightest trace of drowsiness.
She bent down, hoisted the unconscious girl over her shoulder as though she were a sandbag, and said, “Staying here isn’t an option. Let’s go.”
Anmila found that reasonable. She picked up the already filthy gift box from the side and followed Gabriel.
Neither of them noticed that, at the instant the girl was thrown over Gabriel’s shoulder, she clenched her fist tightly, then immediately relaxed it.
When Le Yixian opened her eyes again, she discovered that she was lying on a sofa. Anmila, who had been sitting beside her, noticed that she was awake and leaned over at once.
“Little Xian, you’re finally awake?”
“What happened to me?” Le Yixian’s eyes were filled with confusion. Without drawing attention to herself, she reached down and pressed her stomach. Gabriel’s bones really were hard.
“You… suddenly fainted. You scared me half to death. Luckily, Senior Sister Bai Li happened to pass by and helped us.” Anmila’s mind raced as she came up with an excuse.
Le Yixian found it rather amusing, but her face still wore an expression of bewilderment. “I seem to remember something falling from the sky…”
“Ah! A bird fell from the sky. Do you remember? A white pigeon, ha-ha!” Anmila hurriedly interrupted her, afraid that her friend might recall anything. Senior Sister Bai Li had warned her that the more one knew, the greater the danger. She could not allow her friend to be placed in harm’s way.
Seeing how nervous she was, Le Yixian stopped teasing her and nodded. “Oh. So it was a pigeon.”
Gabriel’s residence was a villa, lavishly decorated and exuding the unmistakable air of someone who was ridiculously wealthy.
After bathing, Gabriel came downstairs and saw that the other girl had already awakened. She greeted her, “You’re awake. How are you feeling?”
“Thank you, Senior Sister. I’ve heard everything from Mila,” Le Yixian said gratefully.
Gabriel was dressed in a white nightgown. Her long, dripping-wet hair hung down her back, and as she walked, droplets of water fell rapidly onto the soft carpet. She casually wiped it with a towel before sitting in a single armchair and asking lazily, “Oh? What did she tell you?”
“I was struck by a pigeon that suddenly fell from the sky and fainted. Senior Sister, you happened to pass by and brought us back to your home,” Le Yixian replied.
Gabriel nodded with satisfaction. “That’s right. I only brought you two back because I felt sorry for you. It’s already very late, so you can spend the night here.”

“My butler will arrange rooms for you.” After giving them a few instructions, Gabriel turned and left without another word.
She needed to ask Raphael why the Memory-Erasure Spell had failed. Before Anmila left tomorrow, she had to erase everything the girl had seen that night.
As for the other girl, who had been unconscious from the beginning, Gabriel had no intention of bothering with her.
“Ladies, this way, please!”
As Anmila watched Gabriel leave, she was just about to speak when a sudden voice startled her badly.
She turned around and froze.
A blond young man in a white tailcoat was standing beside the sofa. He bowed slightly to the two of them. “I have prepared your rooms. Please follow me.”
Anmila and Le Yixian followed the blond young man in silence.
He led them upstairs. When they reached one of the rooms on the second floor, he opened the door and said respectfully, “The room has its own bathroom and lavatory. I have also prepared clean clothes for both of you. If you require anything else, please use the telephone in the cabinet. We will come and assist you.”
Anmila remained dazed until the young man had left. She grabbed her friend’s hand and said, “I’ve always heard that Senior Sister Bai Li’s family was incredibly wealthy, but I never believed it. Now I do.”
Hiring an ordinary butler was easy enough. Hiring one this handsome was another matter entirely.
“Mm. She’s very rich.” Le Yixian nodded. According to the original owner’s memories, Gabriel was the wealthiest of all the seraphim. She had even brought the angel who managed her palace down to the mortal world with her.
As for the original owner, she had apparently been poor. Though she was an arch-seraph, her assets were in the negative.
Anmila had never seen such a beautiful room. She cautiously looked around, then carefully placed the filthy gift box in one corner, as though afraid of dirtying the place.
She proceeded to take tiny steps around the room. Seeing her like that, Le Yixian found it somewhat amusing. “The door is closed. Who could possibly see what you’re doing? You don’t have to be so careful.”
Anmila paused, then decided that Le Yixian had a point. She threw open her arms and cried out, “Little Xian, this place is gorgeous! I’ve never seen such a beautiful room!”
The room was enormous. In the center stood a bed large enough for three or four people. Beside it was a silver vanity, while a sofa had been placed before the window. On the tea table sat steaming tea and delicate pastries, thoughtfully prepared for them.
The bathroom was spacious as well, complete with a large bathtub.
Staring at the tub, Le Yixian suddenly remembered something. She turned to Anmila, who was still examining the gemstones on her teacup to determine whether they were genuine.
“Mila, shall we bathe together?”

When Anmila saw the enormous bathtub, she thought nothing of it and nodded.
She stripped off her clothes in a few swift movements and leapt into the water with a splash.
Standing outside, Le Yixian clearly saw the red pattern of wings across her fair back.
“Little Xian, aren’t you coming?” Anmila, excitedly paddling through the water, noticed that the other girl had not moved and called out to her.
“I haven’t called home yet. You bathe first; I’ll join you in a moment.” Le Yixian turned and left the bathroom, then took out her phone and pretended to make a call.
She lived alone now and did not have any family to call, but if she was going to put on an act, she might as well do it properly. After pretending to make a phone call, she sat down on the sofa, picked up a pastry with one hand, and opened the QQ group chat with the other.
As expected, the chat had already been flooded by Gabriel.
God’s Guardian:
Come Find Me for a Fight: Damn it, why did the Memory-Erasure Spell fail? @A Flower in the Village, get out here and explain this to me!
Come Find Me for a Fight: @A Flower in the Village, where are you? Where the hell did you die?
Starlight Emerald: You’ve got the wrong person?
Come Find Me for a Fight: Damn it, seriously! I was just shocked. Back then, when I used the Memory-Erasure Spell to strip those two-legged beasts of their memories, it worked so smoothly. But this time, it had absolutely no effect on this one.
Starlight Emerald: The one you’re talking about is an ordinary human?
Come Find Me for a Fight: I guarantee she’s human. If she isn’t, then I’m not human.
Starlight Emerald: …You aren’t human to begin with.
