Chapter 84: Matriarchal Society 25 (First Update)

Liu Qingyun looked down at the woman beneath him, who was struggling to stifle her laughter. His body was slightly tense—he could hardly imagine that he would end up pouncing on Sister You.
Yet, recalling the scene he’d witnessed earlier in the Imperial Garden, and what he saw at last night’s banquet, his heart twisted with jealousy.
He also found the scent on Sister You intoxicating, and his body felt restless. Unable to help himself, he nuzzled closer, his tone tinged with grievance: “Sister You, if you like children, I’ll have one with you. Please don’t look at anyone else, okay?”
Le Yixian: “…”
Was this jealousy?
“Sister You, let’s have a daughter together—one who looks just like you, would that be alright?” Emboldened by his envy, Liu Qingyun whispered hoarsely in her ear.
“Your health isn’t good,” Le Yixian replied, worry in her voice. “The imperial physician said you still can’t… share a bed…”
“I can!” Liu Qingyun, wounded by her doubts, interrupted, eyes reddening. “If you don’t believe me, try me, Sister You.”
With that, he pressed down upon her.
“Wait—” Le Yixian’s protest was stifled before she could finish.
Liu Qingyun, perhaps having read many books over the years, was surprisingly skilled in the art of kissing. Le Yixian, pinned beneath him, had no idea how long he kissed her.
In her daze, she thought: today’s kiss lacked the taste of medicine—he hadn’t taken his herbs yet…
“Hiss,” her lips were bitten, and Le Yixian came back to herself.
“…Sister… You… what are you thinking about?” Liu Qingyun’s breath was heavy, laced with a dangerous sensuality.
Good heavens, the young boy really had grown up.
No sooner had she thought it, her darling pounced again, kissing her lips like a hungry wolf, for a long, long while.
When their lips finally parted, a thin, ambiguous thread of silver lingered between them.
“Sister You, am I amazing or what?”
Liu Qingyun, sitting atop her, his hair ornament askew, neat hair loosened, his usually pale cheeks tinged with red, eyes shining so brilliantly they startled her, lips vivid and crimson. He licked them and called out, “Sister You~~”
The ending rose, seductively hooked, brimming with charm.
Le Yixian stared unblinkingly at him. Such beauty, and beauty deliberately teasing her, and the one she’d always yearned for.
Who could resist?
She reached out, unfastened Liu Qingyun’s hair ornament, and three thousand strands of dark hair spilled over his shoulders. Looking at her darling, she said seriously, “You’re the one who started this.”
With a swift pull, before he could react, she flipped him over. In a dizzying spin, Le Yixian was now the one pinning Liu Qingyun beneath her.
The sudden reversal stunned her darling; the once sultry youth instantly reverted to a timid little rabbit.

“Sister… Sister You…” he called out.
Le Yixian smiled, looking every bit the big bad wolf who’d caught a little rabbit: “It’s no use calling me Sister You now.”
“No…” Her darling turned his head, exposing his slender, enticing neck, voice barely louder than a whisper: “Could you… loosen up a little?”
The big bad wolf paused, then, without further courtesy, let out a playful growl and pounced, biting the rabbit’s vulnerable, sensitive neck. The little rabbit whimpered and cried out.
…
…
After being thoroughly bullied by the big bad wolf, the little rabbit’s eyes were slightly red, and several red marks adorned his pale neck.
The wolf, satisfied, asked, “Will you dare to misbehave again?”
The rabbit hugged the blanket, shrinking into the bed, and answered softly, “I’ll do it again!”
The wolf: “…”
“Sister You, I feel so miserable,” the little rabbit looked up, pitiful.
The wolf wagged her tail: “There’s nothing I can do about that. The imperial physician said your body is fragile—you can’t use your hands!”
The wolf noticed the rabbit’s sneaky movements and quickly pressed down his restless paw.
“But it’s unbearable!” The rabbit’s eyes reddened further.
The wolf: “If you’re suffering, I’ll call Imperial Physician Liu to recite the Heart Sutra for you.”
Imperial Physician Liu, the rabbit’s personal doctor, was over fifty, vigorous, with a head of white hair, and repeatedly warned Le Yixian and Liu Qingyun against any intimacy.
Whenever he came to take Liu Qingyun’s pulse, he’d spend half the day reciting the Heart Sutra to him.
At Le Yixian’s words, Liu Qingyun’s mind conjured Imperial Physician Liu’s face—wrinkled like old tree bark—and his endless recitations.
Instantly, Liu Qingyun felt nothing at all.
“Feeling better?” Le Yixian asked after he’d quieted for a while.
Liu Qingyun wilted, “Much better!”
The mere mention of Imperial Physician Liu was like a fire extinguisher.
Le Yixian, seeing her darling’s disheveled clothes and ambiguous red marks on his neck, reached out to pull him up and straighten his attire: “Good boy, your health is most important. No need for reckless behavior, understand?”
“But I want to have a daughter with you,” Liu Qingyun said, aggrieved.
Le Yixian was both angry and amused by his words: “You can have a child anytime, but you are irreplaceable. I won’t allow anything to happen to you, understand?”

Liu Qingyun was deeply moved, and leaned closer, “Sister You.”
Le Yixian hummed softly, stroked his head, and then heard him ask in a small voice, “How did that feel, just now?”
She: “…”
“Not bad,” Le Yixian turned her face aside, feeling her cheeks burn.
Liu Qingyun’s health was poor; aside from medicine, he exercised every morning. So, at first glance, he looked frail—but once his clothes were off…
Ahem, his muscles were quite nice, and the feel was even better.
So just now, she couldn’t help herself; she’d only meant to bite him a little to scare him, but then…
Thinking of this, Le Yixian glanced at Liu Qingyun’s neck—the stark contrast between his pale skin and the vivid marks was striking. There were plenty hidden under his clothes, too. She quietly covered her face.
“Sister You, are you blushing?” Liu Qingyun asked in surprise.
“No, I’m not!”
“You are, your face is bright red.”
“I said I’m not!”
“Your Highness, Imperial Physician Liu has arrived.” At that moment, a palace attendant called loudly from outside.
Le Yixian: “…”
Liu Qingyun: “…”
—
“Your Highness, how many times have I told you? Liu’s body is frail—you can’t be reckless. A moment’s indulgence will affect his entire future. How many times must I say it!” Imperial Physician Liu glared, beard bristling, looking at the two bowing their heads as if he were hammering iron. Such was his temperament, and his medical skills were superb. Even if the empress was ill and refused his advice, he’d scold her all the same.
When Imperial Physician Liu entered the palace, both had already tidied their clothes. Unfortunately, Liu Qingyun’s pale skin made the red marks on his neck stand out starkly. The keen-eyed physician saw at once how they’d gotten there.
Le Yixian said nothing; she had no idea how to explain to the old physician that nothing improper had happened between her and her darling—just a few bites.
“Liu’s health was nearly restored, now we must start over,” Imperial Physician Liu muttered, motioning for Liu Qingyun to extend his hand for a pulse.
After a while, he exclaimed softly, glanced at Liu Qingyun’s flushed face, then at Le Yixian’s calm expression, and hesitantly asked, “Your Highness, you didn’t share a bed?”
Le Yixian’s face turned stormy: “No!”
